  • To be a symbol of hope for the people of Zimbabwe and Africa
  • To provide expert advice for policy formulation, foreign policy, international law, and international relations
  • To teach diplomacy - the ultimate tool for world peace
  • Provide a broader understanding of international affairs, relations and systems.
  • Facilitate synergies among international institutions in diplomacy.
  • Facilitate cross-fertilization of research in developing countries and enrich the African perspective, realizing the need to advance African interests. This will provide a window of hope and growth of the African talent.
  • To design, update, and conduct courses in diplomacy in its political, economic, legal, and protocol dimensions, and strategic and international affairs to suit the evolving needs of those working in diplomacy in Zimbabwe, SADC region and Africa.
  • To prepare diplomats and other international practitioners working in the areas of international relations, international law, communication, peacekeeping, negotiations and international and international organizations by providing them with necessary training and skills development including theoretical and practical knowledge through courses of study, seminars, workshops, and other special training programmes.
  • Supporting and enhancing Zimbabwe, in particular, and Africa’s diplomacy, in general, by conducting tailor made training modules in diplomacy for all levels of diplomatic and other supporting personnel thus giving them capacity and skills to effectively execute their tasks politically, economically, and culturally with rationality and determination based on knowledge, awareness and dedication to their countries and the African continent at large.
