Capacity Development Training for the Zimbabwe Asset Management Corporation (ZAMCO) Staff

There are four ways in which we have contact with the world. We are evaluated and classified by what we do, how we look, what we say and how we say it. The Institute conducted a Capacity Development Training on Business Protocol, Etiquette and Professional Grooming for the Zimbabwe Asset Management Corporation to place it in line with its vision to reduce non-performing loans in the banking sector. The Workshop was held at Monomotapa Hotel on 7 October 2017.

This tailor-made Training Workshop was meant to mentor, refocus and rebrand the Staff of the Zimbabwe Asset Management Corporation. It emerged as a professional polishing tool focusing on professional aspects and essence of Corporate and Social Protocol, Office Etiquette, Communicating in Teams and procedures in Customer Service delivery with a bias to the banking sector.

The keynote presentation delivered by Mr. V.A Chikanda presented the case for greater emphasis on the practice and application of acceptable Business Etiquette, Formal/Social Etiquette, Exquisite Dining Etiquette, Dealing with Difficult Clients, Co-workers and Bosses; Boardroom Protocol, Grooming and Deportment, Professionalism, as well as Image and Self projection.

The balance of the workshop consisted of interactive groups and plenary discussions. Workshop participants identified several key contextual factors that unpacked contemporary issues in relation to the rules of decorum in the banking environment and the business community at large.
