Embassy commemorates 31 years of Rwanda’s journey away from the darkness of Genocide to hope, resilience, progress and peace.

Ambassador Musoni, Madam and Guest of Honour Honourable Murwira lead Candle Lighting ceremony as symbol of remembrance, solidarity and the enduring spirit of the victims of the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda. The Genocide claimed a million innocent peace loving Tutsi’s. Rwanda now remains united in diversity and forgiveness. Guided by His Excellency Paul Kagame, Rwanda is consolidating its movement away from the darkness of Genocide for Hope, Resilience, Progress and Peace. Candles symbolize remembrance and solidarity for victims of genocide, representing the “extraordinary spark of life” and the fragility of existence, as well as a source of illumination and hope.
