38th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran

The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy joined the Islamic Republic of Iran and the rest of the World in commemorating the 38th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution at Rainbow Tours Hotel and Conference Center on 10 February 2017. It was attended by Diplomatic Missions, Cooperate Bodies, Indian Nationals, Zimbabwean Government Officials and Ordinary Zimbabwean Citizens.

In his commemoration speech, Ambassador Ahmad Erfanian stated that, the exchange of delegations between Zimbabwe and Iran intensified with Ambassador Joey Bimha, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs visiting Tehran in November 2016. The Deputy of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgar Mbwembwe added  that Zimbabwe values its relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran as reflected by Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Jacob Mudenda’s planned visit to Tehran scheduled for the week starting 13 February 2017.

The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy remarks with admiration the outstanding cordial relations between Zimbabwe and Iran. It is vivid that bilateral relations between the two countries have remained solid with a promising future in areas of science, technology, energy, health and business.

Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy wishes the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people prosperity, peace and success in its chosen path of development.
