The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy (ZID) successfully conducted a 1-Day Accelerated Individualized Modern Front Office Management for Executive Assistants and Receptionists Workshop for a staff member of E. Pfugari Properties on 14 July 2026. Facilitated by Mr. V. A. Chikanda, Chairperson and Principal Lecturer of ZID, the workshop strengthened the participant’s skills in front office management, executive administrative support, customer service and professional communication for today’s digital workplace.
The programme covered Modern Front Office Management, Executive Administrative Excellence, Corporate and Social Protocol, Business Etiquette, Professional Grooming, Customer Service Excellence, Service Recovery, Conflict Management, and Rebranding the Modern Executive Assistant and Receptionist. Through practical exercises, interactive discussions and workplace simulations, the participant gained practical skills to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency and strengthen professional workplace relationships.
Speaking during the workshop, Mr. V. A. Chikanda emphasized that executive assistants and receptionists are strategic ambassadors of their organisations whose professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, emotional intelligence and digital competence play a vital role in shaping organisational reputation and service excellence.
The participant commended the workshop for its practical and highly relevant content, noting that the knowledge gained would enhance her effectiveness in supporting executive operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
