Big Blow to African Diplomacy

The peaceful demise of Dr Kofi Annan, a distinguished son of Africa and former United Nations Secretary General, on 18 August 2018 was a big dent to African Diplomacy. Dr Annan was one of the finest statesman, diplomat and philanthropists.  His legacy, selflessness and dedication to humanity and peace remains a source of inspiration for Africa and the the rest of the Developing World.  He unflinchingly stood for freedom, peace, equality, justice and human dignity. The tragic departure of this revered African icon leaves a vacuum almost impossible to fill.

His leadership and accomplishments will remain a lasting legacy for the Republic of Ghana and the World at large. Thank you Dr Kofi Annan, we are compelled to carry on your legacy of unwavering commitment to diplomacy and global affairs.

Our heartfelt sympathies and support goes to the Annan family, relatives and friends, the staff of the UN Secretariat, and the Government and People of the Republic of  Ghana. We wish them strength and fortitude in this moment of bereavement.
