Commemorating The International Women’s Day with A Leadership, Protocol, Etiquette and Professional Grooming Refresher for The Ministry of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation

The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy was a special guest and presenter of a Leadership, Protocol, Etiquette and Professional Grooming presentation as a gift to celebrate International Women’s at the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation.  The day commemorates our life givers, risk takers, family starters and simply the petrol and diesel of the entire family engine – our beloved WOMEN.

Mr. V.A Chikanda a Diplomacy, Protocol Business Etiquette and Professional Grooming Academic at the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy was invited by the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation to give a brief presentation on 3 main areas which were: the importance of Diplomatic Protocol, Etiquette and Grooming for Women in leadership.

The Event also had quite the academic discussion touching relevant areas in the modern-day world for women. It looked at what is hindering women’s empowerment, and what should be done for the future; the workshop looked at how culture also diminishes women sometimes and how best these issues should be addressed without creating conflict in the society but rather empowering them to the maximum. Lastly, we looked at the difference between equity and equality and how instead of striving for equality we should try and meet everyone at their individual points of need to genuinely even the playing field for all.
