The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy recently conducted training on Diplomatic and Church Protocol, Etiquette, and Professional Grooming for the United Family International Church (UFIC) Hospitality and Decorations department. This training was necessitated by the fact that the Hosting and Decorations team frequently interfaces with dignitaries, high clergy, and government officials.
The training covered key areas such as diplomatic protocol, the intricacies of etiquette in formal settings, and the standards of professional grooming required when interacting with distinguished guests. The participants were educated on how to appropriately address dignitaries, manage seating arrangements, navigate ceremonial procedures, and communicate effectively in both church and high-level governmental contexts.
The training sought to enhance the UFIC Hospitality and Decorations department to handle various protocols and formal events but also underscored the importance of good etiquette in fostering strong, positive relationships with both church members and distinguished guests.
According to participants, Diplomatic and Church Protocol, Etiquette, and Professional Grooming training has significantly enhanced the skills and knowledge of the UFIC Hospitality and Decorations department. This initiative strengthens the church’s commitment to offering world-class hospitality and maintaining a high standard of service when hosting dignitaries and officials. The knowledge gained from the training will contribute to smoother operations, improve the team’s interactions with high-profile visitors, and further elevate UFIC’s standing as a place of respect, hospitality and excellence.
