Healthcare and Medical Societies Critical to Humanity

“Healthcare and Medical Societies are critical to humanity”.This came out in the Customer Service Etiquette Presentation by Mr V. A Chikanda to the Association of Healthcare Funders of Zimbabwe (AHFoZ) at Cresta Lodge, Msasa on 31 May 2018.

Providing an efficient healthcare system with great customer service to patients is vital for economic growth. Mr Chikanda noted that patients require good customer support and care because if it’s not there, the customer will look for it elsewhere. The unique nature of these customers make healthcare customer service Training imperative for the Medical Aid Societies in Zimbabwe. He challenged the participants to make sure that Zimbabwe achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Mr Chikanda encouraged participants to fulfill the Hippocratic Oath and ensure that patients receive treatment and good service even if they fail to pay in advance.

The presentation was in line with the Institute’s mission to develop soft skills in individuals, organisations and the New Dispensation.
