The online session hosted by the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy for students of Contemporary Diplomacy and International relations, highlighted India’s journey in digital transformation, focusing on innovation, technology adoption and government policies that have driven economic growth and social inclusion and development.
Ambassador Kumar emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure, inclusive access to technology and the role of policy in empowering citizens. He discussed how India’s digital initiatives such as Aadhaar and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) have created transformative impacts in sectors like finance, healthcare and education.
The dialogue underscored the potential for African countries to leverage technology and innovation for sustainable development.
