Northern Central District Accountants Get Leadership Coaching

In a world dominated by a leadership desert, it is only right and proper that you avail your staff with the skills required to lead the economy, to lead not only the economy but to lead other people. “Leadership is action not position”-McGannon. Northern Central District Accountants benefitted from the Leadership, Stress Management and Dealing with Difficult People Coaching by the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy on Friday 8 September 2017 at Chibanguza Hotel, Murehwa.

The Leadership Coaching embraced the 5 P’s of Effective Leadership – Purpose, Personalization, Priority, Passion and Professionalization; roles of leaders; types and styles of leaders; qualities of a successful leader; strategic decision making and decision goal making and differences between leadership and management. Role plays and Practical Simulations were employed in the training methodology.

The emphasis was on the importance of the human being and the need to deal with the God-image persona of human beings. The workshop also covered requisite Stress Management Techniques for civil servants operating in the challenging socio-economic environment. To crown it all, participants shared a practical presentation on How to Deal with Difficult Bosses, Co-workers and Clients.   


The overall objective of the Workshop was to create a resilient civil servant geared to make a difference through dedication, effective leadership and the ability to positively influence the working environment.
