Protocol and Strategic Event Management Workshop for the RMZ Murowa Mine!! 

The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy conducted a one – day Capacity Development Protocol and Strategic Event Management workshop for the RMZ Murowa Mine in the Mazviwa area about 50 km from Zvishavane. The workshop was tailor made and designed for the Murowa Mine’s focal point front-line business protocol officers who receive and send off VVIPs, Prestige Customers, Government, Parastatal and the generality of clients.  The Workshop covered accelerated protocol functioning guidelines, codes of decorum, forms of address, strategic event hosting, planning, event planning committees, logistics, protocol settings including standing, receiving and walking arrangements and event management techniques. The workshop covered and was not limited to International Diplomatic, State and Social Protocol specifically focusing on precedence and criteria, Order of Precedence; Professional Aspects of International Protocol and Etiquettes, Protocol of hosting State, National and Public Events; Protocol of the Flag; Gift Protocol and Strategic Event Hosting. Mr V.A. Chikanda, a Diplomacy, Protocol and Professional Grooming Academic at the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy facilitated the Workshop.

At the end of the Workshop participants were awarded Certificates. After the Workshop, Mr V A Chikanda paid a courtesy call on the General Manager of RMZ Murowa Mine, Mr Islam Chipango. The meeting focused on possible future engagements related to the RMZ Murowa Mine expansion and growth training needs.
