The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy recently conducted a Protocol, Etiquette, Grooming and Professional Branding training for the Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services (ZPCS) Phakamani/Simukai Women’s Network. This initiative aimed to empower and uplift the participants by equipping them with essential skills to navigate professional and diplomatic environments.
The training focused on addressing the significance of proper protocol, etiquette, grooming and effective communication, all of which play a vital role in shaping a confident and professional image. The training provided valuable insights into the cultural norms and protocols that are crucial in both local and international interactions. Having addressed these critical areas, the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy strives to foster personal growth, enhance leadership skills and build a sense of professionalism among the participants. The training was a success, with positive feedback from attendees, and the Institute remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote empowerment, leadership and professionalism within Zimbabwe’s various communities.
The graduation ceremony for Phakamani/Simukai Women’s network saw 26 women attaining vital skills in diplomatic relations, grooming and etiquette, which are all important in today’s interconnected world because building strong relationships and presenting oneself with confidence is very crucial. Deputy Commissioner General Mpofu revealed this on Friday in Harare, during the graduation ceremony of members of ZPCS’s Phakamani/Simukai Women’s Network who undertook courses with the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy and the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU).
Marian Chihobvu, the Chairperson of Phakamani/Simukai Women’s Network, said the courses were an eye opener and also proved that there is no age limit for learning.
