Protocols and Managing Important Events and Ceremonies for ZCC
The preceding years have seen churches growing in numbers and membership and thus attracting more fellowship from different walks of the society, interfacing with VIPs; Government Ministers and other influential individuals. It is on this foundation that the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy is mentoring and empowering churches through a Capacity Building Training Programs in Church Protocol and Event Management. The Zion Christian Church Ministers and Coordinators completed this Capacity Building Programme on Sunday 23 July 2017 amid praise and worship at the ZID Campus in Harare.
This tailor-made Training was meant to mentor, refocus and rebrand the Coordinators and Ministers to fulfil their Ministerial functioning at the ZCC; develop the acceptable rules of Protocol and how to manage their church programs and events. The Facilitator and Mentor, Mr V. A Chikanda imparted participants with the necessary skills and strategies to organize, run and host important events and ceremonies; how to receive guests and VIP’s, how to walk them as well as how to sit them at their respective positions as well as how to control large crowds and apt ushering techniques.
The participants were familiarized with skills of conference diplomacy, hosting and protocols; how to organize, prepare, plan and run an event. They also had an amazing discussion on Professional and Personal Branding and were mentored to dress appropriately and to show as well as command respect for others. They embraced themselves with acceptable protocols and etiquettes.
The Training Program also imparted issues of effective communication skills as well as introduction techniques.
Mr Chikanda commended the Z.C.C for investing in Capacity Building initiatives. “What the Ministers and Coordinators gained from the Training will definitely change the outer reality of the Zion Christian Church” Mr Chikanda said.
