ZAMCO STAFF CONCLUDE REPORT WRITING AND PRESENTATION SKILLS TRAINING

The Zimbabwe Asset Management Corporation (ZAMCO) Staff attended a 2-Day Practical Report Writing and Presentation Skills workshop facilitated by the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy. The Workshop covered report format; purpose; Essence; characteristics of good reports; appropriate professional report language and methodology; sequential approaches to report writing; research methodologies and syntax; the report writing process; delivery and presentation techniques; writing proposals, policy and specialist documents and apt report drafting language.

The workshop also included practical written reports exercises; impromptu oral public speaking and presentations of reports and topics adjudicated during the workshop. Genres covered included informational reports; periodic reports; situational reports; investigative reports; yardstick reports; feasibility reports; accident reports; justification and recommendation reports; analytical reports; compliance reports; convention and conference reports to say a few. The workshop was also interactive and encapsulated impromptu speeches, drafting and report presentations. Participants were challenged to follow a suggested set of effective planning and presentation of reports as a ‘Report judges the effectiveness of an organization’. Mr V A Chikanda, mentored the participants.
